We will focus on the importance of reading a nutrition label correctly and comprehending it. We will focus on such items as serving size, calories, fat, fiber, vitamins and nutrients. Such items in the ingredients list will also be discussed such as food dyes, hydrogenated fats and oils, fructose, MSG, aspartame, saccharin and natural flavors.

In this class we will share money-saving tips and tricks to help you feed the family on a budget, with a focus on healthy school lunches and after school snacks.
Open to kids of all ages, in this class we will learn important tips and tricks for eating healthy such as "make half your grains whole" and how to build a healthy meal using MyPlate. So come on in and enjoy some snacks and activities to help you stay healthy.
